If the next they will be as fruitful as the first one, I won't have any time to sleep. So much to tell...

At first we needed to rent a car. We were supposed to take SsangYong Musso but they gave us Mitshubishi Pajero - I don't think we could ask for more (now, in the late evening, I think we could, but more on this later). This car is so big that I'd be afraid of it when driving from opposite direction on a small Icelandic road. After a few minutes in Keflavik it occured to us that it's not SOO big comparing to the cars of Icelanders. But what can you do when sometimes you just HAVE TO cross a river...

We passed by the Blue Lagoon which was, in my opinion, nothing special. I've been to places like this (well, I've been to some swimming pools with hot sulfuric water, maybe it's a bit different than a lake amongst rocks). Crowds is not what I like the most.

No one expected what will happen next. We drove to the coast to see some cliffs and birds around. The first one third of the road was OK, but the next 10 kilometers... a nightmare! Let me just say it took us 2 hours and many, many worries to drive that distance. That's a good lesson and I advice you to remember it: in Iceland, do not dare to drive on a road that's not visible on a paper map unless you have a monster truck. But every cloud has a silver lining and we were rewarded with beautiful views and PENGUINS. I was sure that they didn't fly, really, so you can imagine my confusion when I saw a few in the air.

We survived... somehow, and we wen't to see Krysuvik. Beautiful colors and an enormous smell. The ground is very hot here and you can see boiling mud and water here and there. Definitely worth seeing, I'll write more when I'm back.

It was getting late and we wanted to visit two places more so we had to hurry a bit. Now it was me who drived and wooow, I thought I occupy whole road. I survived a cataclism: a horizontal Icelandic rain (rain is not the proper word, it's as if someone took a gigantic bucket of water and dropped it at us with a great strength). I can't tell much about Thingvelir as it rained there as well.

The next place was the most pleasurant. People who rented us a car told us about it and I'm very thankful for that. It was a small, hot (38 degrees) spring from which someone made a small bathing place. It's in the middle of nowhere and I suppose hardly anyone knows about it. I won't write where it is though, let it stay a secret. We spend there an hour, relaxing after a long drive...
